Since the late 19th century, SAMS has been strongly committed to public and academic education. We offer degree courses in marine science at BSc, Masters, and PhD level. Study includes components on the Arctic, marine biology, and climate change. We also provide professional training and CPD opportunities for scientists and various users of the marine environment. We also engage proactively with schools and teachers.
We are currently building a dedicated teaching facility which will open towards the end of 2010 and will provide numerous laboratories, lecture theatres, seminar rooms, computer suites as well as study space and a canteen with indoor and outdoor seating.
