The Culture Collection of Algae and Protozoa is the most diverse collection of its kind in the world and one of the largest. CCAP is a UK National Facility hosted at SAMS and supported through the Oceans 2025 programme.

It currently curates around 3000 strains of marine and freshwater algae and protozoa, some of which have been in the collection for over a century.

Cultures are curated and researched, and are available for sale.
