International phycological conference goes ahead
58th Annual British Phycological Society meeting goes ahead in defiance of adverse weather

124 delegates from as far afield as Korea and Norway battled this week’s winter snow storms to reach Oban. They were attending the British Phycological Society’s 58th annual meeting at the Scottish Association for Marine Science at Dunstaffnage.
The conference covered every aspect of algal research, from viruses up to macroalgae and from molecular biology to algal biotechnology.
