My role on the cruise

I am Ms Anastasia Charalampopoulou's PhD Co-supervisor and I will be working with her on calcification rates of coccolithophores during the 1st leg of the cruise.

After that I shall return to Cape Town to teach. My research interests are based on biogeochemical cycling (C, N, Si) in pelagic ecosystems, particularly that mediated by phytoplankton.
