Communications activities
As Head of Communications I am responsible for most of SAMS external relations, public relations and outreach activities, both at a strategic and operational level. I edit this website and the SAMS Newsletter and produce other promotional materials including videos. I organise events such as open days and participation at fairs, tradeshows and conferences. I also oversee out schools activities including the development and organisation of CPD events for teachers. Media releases also fall into my portfolio. Recently my team also took over responsibility for internal communication tools.

Module leader for H4 Science Communication.
Lecturing on H1 Biology, H2 Marine Biology, H3 Sediment Processes, H3 Marine Conservation, H3 Zoology
I am H4 year leader, a member of the SAMS teaching management group, and the SAMS education quality assurance committee.
I co-superised one successful PhD student.
