SCOTTISH ASSOCIATION FOR MARINE SCIENCE (SAMS)

 

UHI MILLENNIUM INSTITUTE

 

 

RESEARCH STUDENTSHIP
 
SAMS invites applications for a three-year NERC-funded PhD studentship working in the exciting natural environment of the west coast of Scotland.
 
 For UK residents this includes a tax-free annual stipend of £13,290 and fees. EU nationals who do not meet UK residence requirements are eligible for a fees-only award.

 

 

 

 

 The project title is: 

 

“The small scales that control the large scales:  retaining the important physics of narrow tidal straits in regional ocean models of western Scotland.”

 

 

Applicants should have, or expect to obtain, either a first class or upper second-class honours degree or a masters in an appropriate discipline. Full eligibility rules can be found in the NERC Studentship Handbook.
