Location: Ideally on-site at SAMS, Oban. Flexibility for home working available
Contract Type: Open-ended
Working Pattern: Full Time (37hrs per week)
Salary: up to £60k per annum (starting salary will depend on experience)
The Role
This is a leading financial role within SAMS, supporting business decision making and performance management, to enable a financially secure future.
Will support SAMS Directorate Team and Governance Committees, provide regular management accounts information as well as advice, guidance and areas for improvement.
Oversee excellent service delivery, quality management and provide support in the form of coaching and mentoring to the Financial Support Services team, comprising both finance and contract management activities.
Our Ideal Candidate
You will hold a recognised accountancy qualification – CA, CIMA, ACCA.
Able to control, direct and manage all financial resources to meet statutory obligations and best practice financial management standards, and provide financial analysis and advice to assist the general management and strategic development of the SAMS Group.
You will already be identified as a role model for others – experienced, confident, a go to person for advice and guidance and be familiar with a coaching culture.
You will be an excellent leader and able to naturally communicate with a number of stakeholders.
You will bring energy, enthusiasm and integrity and create a positive and inclusive culture within the department.
Support
You will have the support from our Management Accountant and Contracts Manager to assist you during a handover period, and you will also have the support from our Financial Support Services department.
