Research infrastructure @ SAMS
Research, education, and commercial activities at SAMS are supported by an excellent science infrastructure that includes two research vessels with an array of field and sampling equipment, a diving centre, a modern aquarium, conference facilities, numerous well-equipped laboratories, a culture collection of microalgae and protozoa, an experimental artificial reef and a research library at Dunstaffnage.
SAMS also has access to the International Arctic Laboratory on Svalbard.
Many of these facilities can be rented by external parties. For information on renting any facilities, please contact the SAMS company secretary, Elaine Walton.
