Introducing SAMS Research

Our science focuses on five research themes drawing on our inter-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary expertise:

Theme 1: Arctic Research

Theme 2: Marine Processes in Climate

Theme 3: Marine Renewable Energy

Theme 4: Prosperity from Marine Ecosystems

Theme 5: Industrial Impacts on Oceans

 

All research staff are organised in four departments that bring together scientists of similar disciplinary backgrounds who use similar approaches, methods and instrumentation for their research activities.
