SAMS will open its doors to prospective students and their families on 27th October this year as it hosts its annual open day.
Visitors will get a chance to meet the research scientists they will be learning from and become inspired by the ocean as they tour the marine science institute.
There will also be a chance to meet current students and the student support team to find out more about life at SAMS and UHI (University of the Highlands and Islands).
Prof. John Howe, programme leader for the BSc in Marine Science, said: "Open day is always a fantastic event and we like to think that visitors leave with a renewed enthusiasm for the marine environment.
"During the day, we encourage prospective students to take time to enjoy talks and demonstrations and discuss career aspirations. Most importantly, it is a chance to learn from staff and students what our programme could mean for their future and the future of our oceans.
"Our undergraduate offering is an exciting one, with opportunities for field work, travel, and to work with some of the leading scientists in their field. As such, graduates from SAMS don't just learn about marine science, they learn to be marine scientists."
