Five members of a nine-strong SAMS scientific team are currently onboard RV Meteor, sitting above the Senghor Seamount in the Northeast Atlantic collecting data on water flow and organic carbon dynamics. The research, the first stage in the TopoDeep project, aims to elucidate for the first time the links between seamounts, their latitude and tide on organic carbon dynamics.
