European funding opportunity to use SAMS infrastructure

A European funding initiative offers to cover full costs for scientists based in Europe, who desire to use our infrastructure to support their research. Facilities provided at SAMS' modern research institute include the Culture Collection of Algae and Protozoa, the new research aquarium including temperature and photoperiod controlled rooms, and our research vessels, in the prime location of Scotland's west coast fjordic environment.

ASSEMBLE is an EU FP7 research infrastructure initiative comprising a network of marine research stations.  Second call for applications is now open. You can apply for on-site and remote access to the ASSEMBLE infrastructure sites for the period June - November 2010. Deadline 15 February 2010.

SAMS is one of the sites available for access.
