SAMS Vessels Operations Manager

I have a background in zoology having gone to the University of London - Bedford College in central London, Regent’s Park, before it merged with Royal Holloway College.

I went on to work in fish farming, public aquaria and seal pup rehabilitation in Oban, Hunstanton, and Portaferry then moved into wild fisheries management and enforcement as Fisheries Conservation Manager with the Fisheries Conservancy Board NI, and Fisheries Director for Lochaber District Salmon Fisheries Board.

Latterly I was with Scottish Sea Farms using rigid HDPE/Polarboats and workboats routinely as H&S Coordinator, and previously having been responsible for feed, fish health and biological control – looking after wrasse and lumpsuckers – I was also seconded to the Mowi and Otter Ferry cleaner fish rearing installations for several periods. I am a member of the Institute of Fisheries Management.

I am very pleased to be at SAMS as Vessel’s Operations Manager and hope I can be of assistance to anyone using boats in their work.
