I am Administrator and Receptionist at SAMS, responsible for supporting senior colleagues in specific areas of administration, as well as undertaking responsibilities for tenant administration, room allocations and Display Screen Equipment (DSE) support. My role includes reception cover for colleagues during breaks and periods of leave.

My career background before joining SAMS was in healthcare including working in IT project management for the NHS. I have held various administrative posts over the last 20 years, mainly in the charity and public sectors.

The volunteering I have done has included working on conservation projects in the south-west United States, as well as undertaking surveys of marine wildlife off the west coast of Scotland for the Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust, and more recently completing a residential placement for NatureScot at Beinn Eighe, doing outdoor work to further my practical experience of conservation.


Full description of my responsibilities at SAMS

1. Providing an efficient administration service to a number of customers within the Professional Services team at SAMS.

2. Reporting directly to the Deputy Director, while also supporting other senior colleagues in specific areas of administration, whilst maintaining a portfolio of responsibilities for tenant administration, room allocations, summer accommodation and Display Screen Equipment (DSE) support.

3. Managing reception as part of a team by covering for colleagues during breaks and periods of leave.
