MDPI’s Applied Sciences journal is an official event sponsor of the Challenger Conference 2024, supporting one of the main events in the packed science programme: The Changing Ocean. This session explores the physical, biogeochemical and biological responses of our ocean to external forcing, both over short and longer timescales, including presentations of long-term datasets, model outputs and palaeo records, building a picture of how susceptible different marine environments are to climate breakdown.

Applied Sciences (ISSN 2076-3417) is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal published semi-monthly online by MDPI. The journal covers all aspects of applied physics, applied chemistry, engineering, environmental and earth sciences, and applied biology. It publishes reviews, research papers and communications and aims to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results in as much detail as possible.
