Coastals waters - including those of Middle Norway - are commonly characterised by great biodiversity and productivity. The driving forces behind the structures and functions of the marine ecosystem are not well understood though.

ENTiCE aims to fill this gap in knowledge from the Froan ecosystem using autonomous underwater vehicles and buoys to gather data about the physics, primary productivity and zooplankton distribution of the water column. The data will feed into ocean models for complex coastal processes. The project includes also major stakeholder engagement and outreach components.
